Re: Iron pills
In reference to our last meeting of April 6, 2009, wherein we reviewed my blood test results and you noted that my iron levels were 'shockingly low.' You asked for follow-up regarding the question of why I steadfastly refuse to follow your advice to take iron supplements.
After some research, I have recalled the correct response.
They are constipating as all hell.

amen to that sister!!!! I had the same problem
Iron pills = Constipation
Prenatals = Debilitating nausea
Check with a health food store for alternatives. I've heard cholorphyll and blackstrap molasses, taken with vitamin C and away from calcium-containing foods/suplements helps. Also, try a 'green shake' -- organic baby spinach, strawberries, other fruits (peaches, mango, pineapple) maybe a few baby carrots and some stevia to sweeten. Toss it in the blender with lots of water and, yes it looks disgusting, drink it down. It tastes like strawberries and is a great way to get iron and C. Keep close to a bathroom until your body is acclimated to the shake. You WON'T be constipated. There may be other things you can add to the shake to up the iron content, again check with a natural foods/heath food store.
I'm with ya ... they make me ill!
Oh, God. That's so right!
Since Robert Downey Jr is Iron Man, have you condsidered sucking on him to help your problem? I bet its not constipating... although may end up with you in prison. Give and take...right?
