Stains

I can't stand that I never see the grease stains on my clothes until AFTER they run through the dryer...

I feel your pain... and why does it have to be on the one item of clothing that isn't already destroyed?

Sometimes if you get a bar of Dove soap and rub a bunch of it on the grease spot with water, and then run it through the wash again it will come out. Only works with Dove though for some reason.

This happens to me all the time. The one thing that works almost every time is Shout Advanced. Good Luck!

And here I thought it was just me emitting some mysterious body oil. Thanks for the Dove & Shout tips, Anon.

Baby powder works wonders, both pre- and post-dryer. Just sprinkle the grease spot liberally, rub it in good, let it sit for a while and rewash. You can also use this in a pinch to 'hide' a grease stain. Rub the powder in then dust/beat all the excess off. It generally lightens the stain enough to more or less blend with the color of the fabric. I keep baby powder at work, in case I discover that grease stain after I've already left the house!
