I tried to surprise my husband by getting our wedding video transferred from VHS to DVD but apparently I need permission from the videographer.

Who DIED eleven years ago.

I'm pretty sure this is not why copyright laws were invented.

Get someone to write a fake letter and sign off on it. We did this when Walmart wouldn't let me print our wedding photos - we just said my dad was the photographer, drafted up a permission letter, and they took it.

Except we didn't pay for/use those anyway because they printed out wrong and I'll never go back to them because Walgreens doesn't ASK QUESTIONS, but that's beside the point.

It's all stupid. Wedding people not letting you have access to memories of YOUR DAY, that you PROVIDED MATERIAL for, you can see it, REALLY IRKS ME!

Fake up a fake letter, what are they going to do about it?
